Fiat’s left hand drive-only Barchetta roadster has been relaunched in the UK, priced about £1,800 cheaper than previously to undercut the Mazda MX-5, MG TF and Ford StreetKa.

Mechanically identical to the original model, the Barchetta, which was restyled at the end of 2002, has a 130bhp 16-valve, twin overhead camshaft 1.8 litre engine and includes power steering, anti-lock braking, driver and passenger airbags, CD player, central locking, fog lights, electric windows and mirrors, leather steering wheel and gearknob plus electric radio aerial in its £11,995 price tag.

Factory options include air conditioning, alarm, alloy wheels and a hardtop.
