Exhaust system and towbar manufacturer Bosal Group has announced two senior management appointments affecting both European and UK operations.

Rob Sweetnam is now commercial director, aftermarket, Europe, based at group headquarters in Lummen, Belgium. He succeeds Ad Ham, who retires in December.

Sweetnam is responsible for all of Bosal’s European commercial functions in the automotive aftermarket, including sales, marketing and supply. His role embraces the United Kingdom as well as extending across the newly-emerging markets of eastern Europe.

He has been with Bosal for 16 years. He moved to the UK in 1998 to take up the post of managing director of Bosal UK, prior to which he was managing director of Bosal Afrika industrial division.

Andrew McCrae replaces Sweetnam as managing director of Bosal UK based in Preston, Lancashire, the second largest of Bosal’s 39 plants worldwide, employing 320 people.
