UK ‘car supermarket’ (supersite) group Motorpoint has entered the UK’s hotly fought vehicle leasing sector, claiming that operators of business fleets would “benefit from the pricing policy that has saved private buyers more than GBP54m over the last 10 years”.
In a claimed first for the country’s car supermarket sector, Motorpoint has signed a deal with Network, a specialist division of Europe’s largest leasing organisation, LeasePlan.
Motorpoint operations director Paul Winfield said in a statement: “In the first instance we think our offer will appeal to businesses operating up to around 25 vehicles.
“This is a carefully considered development which we believe not only allows us to welcome a whole new customer group but also to combine our own buying skills with access to the full range of UK cars and commercial vehicles.
“That means we can give those business customers – from a single professional to a small fleet operator – a unique opportunity to get exactly what they need at the very best prices.”
