Brighton-based Elektromotive has inked a deal to supply 150 Elektrobay electric vehicle charging stations to a Saudi Arabia universiy by the end of September.
King Abdullah University of Science and Technology in Thuwal will use the points to recharge 150 new electric vehicles transporting staff and pupils around the campus.
Installation in car parks with shallow, solid concrete flooring required a new ground plate and mounting post with integrated electric cable that could be bolted to the surface. Up to four chargers are installed in a group.
Elektrobays have been exported to Sweden, the Netherlands, Germany and Ireland and 160 units also operate here in the UK.
