GPB5.5m (US$8.5m) in funding from Santander Corporate and Commercial will also allow the business to invest further in research and development with the aim of doubling the size of the company over the next three years.

Launched in 1966, Automotive Insulations operates across a number of sectors such as automotive, commercial vehicles, marine and industrial, with clients including Bentley, Jaguar Land Rover and 3M.

With just over 100 employees, the past 12 months has seen the business start operations in Sweden and Germany, working with Volvo and Volkswagen.
