The organisers of this year’s flagship Automechanika aftermarket trade fair in Frankfurt are adding a hall dedicated to alternative powertrain and new mobility concepts.
Automechanika director Olaf Musshoff told a media briefing in London that the new hall is designed to be ‘open plan’ and will be a forum for the exploration of new concepts for future mobility in the context of associated aftermarket opportunities.
“The focus in Hall 10 will be on vehicles with alternative propulsion systems,” said Musshoff. “In close proximity, companies from all over the world will present products and solutions in the fields of storage technology, energy supply and charging infrastructure, as well as financing, mobility concepts, motors, electronics, lightweight construction, basic and advanced training and repairs and service.”
Musshoff told just-auto that it is vital for Automechanika to address rapidly expanding interest in future mobility and evolving technologies.
“There are so many possibilities and so many potential solutions to these huge future questions,” Musshoff said. “We want to provide an open plan hall where all the possibilities can be presented.”
