Sales of General Motors’ Cadillac brand rose 4% year on year to 354 units in the Middle East last month as dealers booked their best sales for April since 2008.

Since launch last March, dealers have sold 68 units of the XTS, and 265 ATS year to date since launch in December. Escalade sales rose 11% from April 2012.

In Saudi Arabia, Cadillac’s biggest market in the region, sales increased 5%, while United Arab Emirates and Qatar volume climbed 30% and 27% respectively.

“2012 was a record year for Cadillac sales in the Middle East. I am confident that the momentum will continue with the recent introductions of the ATS and XTS,” said Nadim Ghrayeb, Cadillac regional brand manager for the Middle East.
