Vehicle production in Turkey rose an annual 30.9% in October to 108,624 units, the country’s Automotive Industrialists Association reported.

This takes January-October vehicle production to 893,119 units, an increase of 27.7%, with commercial vehicles showing a strong rise of 41% the Association noted.

Exports grew by 25.3% on the year in the same ten-month period to 630,943 units.

Vehicles account for the majority of exports from Turkey, whose economy is growing at almost 7% this year after contracting 4.7% in 2009.
