The Turkish News Digest reports that new car sales in the first ten months totalled 370,466 units, a 147% increase on the same period of last year. It cited the Turkish Automotive Industry Association (OSD) as source.


The report also said that imported car sales rose by 159% in the same period to 259,130 units.


In the month of October car sales edged up by just 2.7% over last year, to 34,300 units, indicating that the market is now slowing. However, analysts say that the market this year is heading for a record.
