The Turkish subsidiary of Hyundai Motors, Hyundai Assan, will export to 60 countries in 2003, management board chairman Ali Kibar said at the weekend, according to the Turkish News Digest.
The company started exporting its Starex model in January 2003 to Belgium and France.
Hyundai Assan plans to boost production and exports in March 2003 and to start operating on two shifts from April 2003.
The company plans to produce 25,000 Starex cars, 15,000 Accents and 1,500 H100 model vans in 2003 and to end the year with export revenue of $400 million (€369.3 million).
Hyundai Assan will export the Accent Admire model to the Middle East, eastern Europe, Russia and central Asia, the report said.
