GS Yuasa will acquire 50% of Inci Aku Sanayi ve Ticaret Anonim Sirketi in Turkey which makes lead-acid batteries for automotive, forklift and stationary applications.
A share transfer agreement was signed on 10 June.
Yuasa is making the purchase to expands sales in Turkey and increase exports to Europe, Asia, the Middle East and North Africa of a global strategy.
Inci will be renamed Inci GS Yuasa Anonim Sirketi in August.
