Automotive
exports from Turkey were up 32.6 percent year-on-year in February and worth $US319
million, the Anatolia news agency said.

Exports increased by 32.8 percent to $586.1 million in the first two months
of 2001, compared to $US441.4 million last year.

Automotive components, which account for the bulk of the sector’s exports,
increased by 49 percent in the first two months of the year to $US287 million.

Passenger car exports were worth $US162.1 million, up 17.5 percent.
