Koenigsegg has named former Tesla Berlin Gigafactory director of engineering, procurement and construction, Evan Horetsky, as chief industrialisation officer reporting to CEO and founder Christian von Koenigsegg.
In a statement, Koenigsegg said Horetsky “rose fast through the Tesla ranks and participated in Tesla’s scaling of Gigafactories across the world, including leading local efforts in the US, China, and most recently Germany”.
Von Koenigsegg said: “Bringing [Horetsky] on-board is part of our forward-looking vision. [His] sharp engineering mind, strategies for scale, and data-driven leadership style brings new strengths to our management. I look forward to working closely with him.”
Horetsky said: “This is a natural next step in my career. I’ve found the most talented and humble people, with cutting-edge technology. I have followed Koenigsegg’s path and have been a huge fan of the company’s uncompromising commitment to innovation and performance. The things that are worked on, not least in machine learning and electrification are inspiring and contribute to sustainability broadly.”
