Car and truck sales in Thailand rose 9.0% year on year in December after a 9.9% fall in November and a 10.5% drop in October, according to Toyota Motor Corp’s Thai unit.

Toyota compiles vehicle sales for the whole industry, the Reuters news agency noted.
Domestic car and truck sales totalled 682,500 in 2006, down 3.0% from an annual record high of 703,432 in 2005, the report added.
