New vehicle sales in Thailand fell by 37.2% to 93,123 units in November, compared with near-record volumes of 148,243 units a year earlier, according to data released by the Federation of Thai Industries.

Buying sentiment was affected by the political unrest around the country during the month, while year-earlier volumes were also artificially inflated by the government’s first-time buyer scheme.
