Toyota Motor said it will not carry out normal marketing activity at the 28th Thai International Motor Expo to be held at the Impact Arena in Muang Dong, Bangkok, between 1-12 December.
The company said it will not take on any new orders at the show due to its massive order backlog. Instead, it will focus on post-flood maintenance training for customers.

The company restarted production in Thailand on November 21st, after more than a month-long shutdown due to parts shortages.
The waiting list for pickup trucks is 3 months, and 6 months for pickup passenger vehicles. For passenger cars it is between one and two months.
Honda said it will take on new orders despite has an order backlog of 37,000 units, according to local reports. The plant was devastated by the floods and is expected to remain closed for six months.
The company expects it will be allowed to import vehicles duty free from outside the ASEAN region to help compensate for the loss of its plant. Honda staff so far have been unable to access the plant to carry out a complete damage assessment.
