Nissan Motor said on Friday Thai production would remain suspended for at least another week, until 4 November, with no sign of an end to the supply chain disruption cuased by the worst floods in decades.
Nissan also said it had no plans for now to reduce production elsewhere, Reuters reported.

The automaker stopped production at its 200,000 vehicles a year Thai factory on 17 October due component supply problems. The factory has had no direct flood damage.
The plant exports Nissan vehicles – including the March/Micra hatchback and Maxima large sedan – widely throughout the Asia-Pacific Japan. Production of the March for Japan was transferred to Thailand when the latest generation was introduced earlier in 2011. Thailand is also a key source of Nissan’s one-tonne pickup truck line.
