Ford is restarting output of passenger vehicles at its Thailand plant in Rayong province following a two day shutdown.
To assess inventory and logistics Ford suspended production on 11 October as parts suppliers in Ayutthaya shut their factories due to floods.

On 12 October, the company said: “Production of pickup trucks at the plant will “remain suspended at this time.”
Toyota said Friday it would extend its production suspension at its three plants in Thailand to 22 October due to flooding that has disrupted its supply chain.
While the flooding has not had a direct impact on its plants or employees, the automaker has decided to extend the production halt as some parts suppliers are experiencing delays, it said.
Production had been halted from Monday to Saturday 15 October this week. The automaker does not operate the Thai plants on Sundays.
