Tesla has built the first production Cybertruck at its Texas factory.

Since the prototype made its debut in 2019, development and output were hit by a series of delays.

Tesla CEO Elon Musk cited component shortages as one of the reasons for pushing back the launch of the Cybertruck to 2023.

First deliveries are expected in the third quarter of 2023 with volume output projected for 2024.

Musk has previously said the truck could sell 250,000 to 500,000.

The new entrant in the electric full size pickup market rivals the Ford F-150 and Rivian R1T.
