Tata Motors has struck a major deal with a South African car hire company to supply its Bolt 1.2 Turbo hatchbacks for Tempest Car Hire's rental fleet.
The recently introduced Bolt will be offered at a competitive hire charge which will be one of the lowest in the country, including 100 km free per day and standard insurance cover.
"We are very pleased to have secured this order as it will mean that many renters countrywide will now have the opportunity to experience the quality and benefits offered in our newest car range, which is particularly well equipped for an entry-level model," Kyri Michael, the CEO of Accordian Investments, told The Hindu Business Line. Accordian distributes Tata vehicles in South Africa.
"Our deal to supply Tempest Car Hire with our new Bolt hatchbacks will certainly help to increase brand awareness of Tata as a manufacturer of cars and light commercials," Michael said.
Tata Motors is working hard to develop export sales in emerging markets around the world. It recently announced entry to the Bolivian commercial vehicle market, through a distribution agreement with local partners, Bolivian Auto Motors.
