This investment by unlisted Kuozui Motors - the second largest carmaker in Taiwan behind Mitsubishi affiliate China Motor Co. - will be spread over five years from 2001, say sources citing Hotai Motor, Kouzui`s main dealer.

The domestic market will be the initial focus for Kuozui but the company intends to increase exports in the near future.
