Chinese carmakers Chery and Geely are reportedly considering market entry to Taiwan.
A report in the Economic Daily News said the two plan to market cars in the island nation by the end of this year. The report cited no sources.
The report said that Chery will offer around three car models, while Geely plans to introduce a minicar model to Taiwan.
Taiwan is considered a renegade state by China and relations between the two have often been tense, with direct economic ties limited until recently.
