Attendance at the 75th Geneva international motor show beat the 2004 attendance record, with 747,700 admissions, up 2.5%.
An analysis of visitors’ origins showed that at least 45% were from abroad and from about 70 countries.
Organisers commented that the attendance at this year’s 2005 event was “remarkable” because weather conditions were “disastrous” all over Europe during the first four days.
On Saturday, March 12 the all-time record for a single day was set, following 98,872 admissions.
About 5,500 representatives of the press and electronic media from all over the world covered the event.
