Volvo Truck has said that worldwide deliveries were down 5% in October at 9,410 trucks.
The company said that overall demand in Europe has been weakening this year and that this has now started to affect the European delivery rates, which in the month of October decreased by 19% to just under 5,000 units.
The demand for trucks in North America is still at a low level, it says. The deliveries in North America decreased in the month of October by 12% to 1,406 units. However, deliveries in South America and Asia remained at a high level, up 29% (1,387 units) and 53% (1,124 units) respectively.
Year-to-date sales are up 12% to 87,327 units.
