Deliveries from Mack rose 18%, while deliveries from Renault Trucks were up 3%. Deliveries from Volvo Trucks decreased 21%.

Volvo attributed the decline in its deliveries to the model changeover to the new FH and FM models. Volvo truck deliveries in January reached 2,646 units (down from 2,961 in January 2005).

Deliveries from Mack in January totalled 3,076 units, up 18% from the same period a year ago. This continues to reflect the high order intake through much of 2005 in the North American market.
