Subaru Automobiles’ parent company Fuji Heavy Industries said 2015 was a record year, with 978,000 vehicle sales world-wide, and projected a sixth straight record again this year with a global forecast of 1,033,000 sales. If it reaches its target, it would be the first time Subaru has passed the million mark.

The brand has been performing strongly in every region, but in particular the US and Canadian markets continued their upward trend with growth of 13% and 14% respectively. Subaru UK saw an increase of 24% in 2015 to 3,455 registrations, and anticipates a further “modest” increase this year.
