Volkswagen’s Spanish unit Seat has reported a net loss of EUR49.1m euros ($US64.5m) in 2006, less than its EUR62.5m loss the previous year, according to a report on Thursday.

Revenues rose to 5.54bn euros from 5.27bn in 2005, the year Seat fell into loss after a decade of positive results, Reuters said.
Production at the automaker’s factory in Martorell, near Barcelona was up to 408,000 cars last year from 385,000 a year earlier and sales rose 1.9% to 430,000 units, the report added.
