Prever allows consumers to save €720 by trading their old car for a new or near-new model.
The incentive helped propel Spanish car sales 10% to a record 1.5 million units last year, industry observers have said.
According to Aniacam, Spaniards traded in 409,537 vehicles under the programme last year, up 26.6% from 2003.
Anicam expects the scheme to continue boosting sales this year although other factors including the prospect of higher interest rates could restrain purchases.
Spanish manufacturer federation Anfac expects car sales to range between 1.45-1.5 million units this year.
