Kia Motors has released the first images of its all-new Ray compact car which will be sold exclusively in South Korea.
The Ray city car – looking much like Japanese automakers home-market-only minicars, has stand-out styling with its striking box-type exterior design. Powertrain choices will be announced closer to launch.
Taking its name from the English word meaning ‘a beam of radiant energy or light,’ the Ray features a simple, modern silhouette and distinctive exterior, plus maximised interior space for both passengers and cargo, according to Kia.
Styling combines the brand’s signature radiator grille with unique headlamps and LED daytime running lights.
A sliding passenger side rear door allows easier passenger entry and exit in tight parking spaces and also provides a wide, unobstructed opening for cargo.
