Three South Korean auto firms will a conduct recall of four locally built vehicles, the Ministry of Construction and Transportation reportedly said on Monday.

Renault Samsung Motors was ordered to conduct a recall of 11,553 units of SM5 sedans, produced between June 20 and Oct. 8, after it was found they have faulty windshield wipers, the ministry said.


GM Daewoo Auto & Technology was ordered to recall 564 Damas and Labo minivans, built between Oct. 25, 2003 and Nov. 17 this year, for having faulty brake shoes.


A total of 255 BM090 buses, manufactured by Daewoo Bus Corp. between Dec. 16, 2002 and June 30 this year, are also being recalled to have the seat belt refitted, the ministry said.
