Following the extension, Samsung Group will maintain its 19.9% stake in Renault Samsung until 2020 and Renault Samsung will continue to use Samsung Group’s logo and name until the same year, the Korea Herald reported.


RSM said the extension of agreements was based on mutual trust between Renault and Samsung and that it would allow it to execute its strategies more efficiently.


RSM builds vehicles on Nissan and Renault alliance platforms. It exports an SUV branded the Koleos to Renault units world-wide.
