School children across Saudi Arabia will be relying on Kia buses to get to school next term following single purchase deal of 2,500 Kia buses to provide a new school transportation system for the Middle East country.
Kia will deliver the first 1,000 AM928 51 seat buses this year with another 1,500 arriving in 2003, a combined total that is equal to selling more than 25,000 cars to one customer.
Kia Motors COO, Yong-Hwan Kim, said: “This is a very special project for us and underscores the effort that Kia Motors has been making to successfully export our commercial vehicles. With a seating capacity of 51 passengers and equipped with various special features, the AM928 commercial bus offers an ideal combination of power, comfort and value that enables it to handle virtually any passenger transportation task.”
