Kia Motors has said that it will focus on raising its exports to Europe this year by 26 percent for a total of 126,000 vehicles.

Mazda will takeover its dealer networks in five European countries, including Austria, Hungary and Britain, from sales agencies and handle sales directly through wholly-owned subsidiaries. It is also going to increase the number of dealers in those nations.

In addition, Kia plans to make more investment in its after-sale service operations. The firm will hold a two-day meeting of some 1,100 dealers from 20 countries in Sevilla, Spain, and plans to introduce its new large sedan, Opirus, at the Geneva Motor Show which opens on March 4.

Kia intends to launch European sales of the Opirus in June.
