Kia Motors’ overseas retail sales of passenger cars and light trucks in February 2006 rose 4.3% year on year to 59,640 units.


The figure excludes vehicles assembled from kits in some export markets like China.


By region, European sales rose 7.3% to 22,651 units, general market sales rose 3.8% to 14,334 and North America was up 1.7% to 22,655.


For the first two months of 2006, Kia’s overseas sales have risen 5.8% year-on-year, with Europe showing the largest gain at 10.0%.


General market and North America sales increased 3.0% and 3.5%, respectively.
