Hyundai Motor has said that it has signed an agreement with South Korea’s foreign ministry to help South Korean embassies purchase more of  its vehicles.

The move is aimed at promoting Hyundai’s brand awareness worldwide, the company said in a statement.

Under the agreement, 109 Korean embassies or consulates will purchase Hyundai’s revamped Equus luxury sedan when they replace their older vehicles, the statement said.

“The agreement is expected to significantly help advertise the superiority of local cars,” a Hyundai official told the Yonhap news agency.

Hyundai rolled out its third generation Equus luxury sedan earlier this year.
