Hyundai Motor and other makers of trucks and buses face disruption of production after a major parts supplier announced a factory lockout due to a strike, the Chosun Ilbo newspaper said on Monday, according to Reuters.

According to Reuters, the newspaper, citing industry sources, said Tongil Heavy Industries, which supplies half of the country’s demand for transmissions used in commercial vehicles, closed its factory following a series of labour disputes.

Hyundai has transmissions to cover 10 days of production, and it may have to halt production lines of commercial vehicles after that, the paper said, according to Reuters.
