SOUTH KOREA: Gearbox supplier labour dispute threatens truck and bus output – report

Hyundai Motor and other makers of trucks and buses face disruption of production after a major parts supplier announced a factory lockout due to a strike, the Chosun Ilbo newspaper said on Monday, according to Reuters. According to Reuters, the newspaper, citing industry sources, said Tongil Heavy Industries, which supplies half of the country's demand for transmissions used in commercial vehicles, closed its factory following a series of labour disputes.
