The Korea Herald reports that Daewoo Motor has sustained huge losses due to the suspension of its operation as parts suppliers continue to refuse to supply new parts.

Korea Delphi and other key suppliers stopped their supply from August 28, demanding settlement of overdue payments.

The Korea Herald says that the resulting disparity of production has cost Daewoo about 100.5 billion won ($781.8 million).

The association of parts suppliers Wednesday decided to resume their supply, but normal operation of Daewoo Motor is unlikely this week since it will take time to prepare for the actual operation.
