Daewoo Motor has developed its own engine for medium-sized sedan models to replace
a unit imported from a General Motors plant in Australia.
The latest engine development means Daewoo can now source all passenger car engines
in-house.
Daewoo’s Pupyong plant developed the engine jointly with the company’s
research centre in Munich, Germany.
