The new Chevrolet sports utility vehicle (SUV) built by GM-Daewoo for sale outside the US will be named Captiva.

The SUV made its first appearance as a ‘concept’ at the 2004 Paris motor show and is due on sale in summer 2006.
The Captiva is said to retain the S3X concept’s strong design elements, expressive style and a spacious interior featuring high quality fabrics and materials.
It will be available with five or seven seats and is 4,639mm long, 1,849mm wide and 1,729mm high. Customers will have the choice between front-wheel and all-wheel drive variants.
Chevrolet’s first compact SUV available with a diesel engine is claimed to have impressive on-road ride and handling.
