Ford has launched the third generation Focus in South Africa.
The vehicle features two body styles, three powertrains, three specification levels and two transmission options. These include a new two-litre direct injection petrol engine and completely two-litre Duratorq TDCi diesel engine, both available with the Ford-Getrag six-speed twin clutch PowerShift automatic transmission.
South Africa built second generation Focus models for Australia but that country is sourcing third generation cars initially from Germany with Thai-built models to follow in 2012 after a new factory is completed.
