Sales of new road vehicles in Slovakia fell 1.4% to 62,254 in 2000 from 63,147 in 1999, according to provisional results provided to just-auto.com by the Automotive Industry Association there.

Year-on-year, volumes decreased 3.0% for cars to 54,718 from 56,437. Totals increased: 204.1% for buses to 222 from 73; and 10.2% for commercial vehicles to 7,314 from 6,637.
