Akebono Brake Slovakia (ABSK), a subsidiary of Akebono Brake Industry, held its opening ceremony this week.
The supplier will start mass production of brake calliper assemblies in August.

The company plans to expand ABSK’s operations by adding aluminium brake calliper manufacturing for high performance vehicles, which will make the new plant a strategic manufacturing location.
Currently, it makes disc brake pads at its French subsidiary, Akebono Europe. The establishment of the new location in Slovakia is part of a strategy to create an integrated supply system for brakes in Europe while strengthening competitiveness globally.
