Skoda increased its global deliveries by 10.6% to 97,900 vehicles (2015: 88,500 vehicles) in October. In particular, the high demand in China (+21.3%) and Europe (+4.9%) contributed to the positive sales development. Amongst the models, the Skoda Rapid (+37.4%) and Skoda Superb (+58.3%) saw strong growth rates. Since January, the brand has delivered 938,800 vehicles, e.g. 6.7% more vehicles to customers (2015: 880,000 vehicles).

“In October, Skoda seamlessly continued the positive sales development of the first three quarters. The brand’s considerable growth in the core markets of China and Europe laid the foundations for this,” said Werner Eichhorn, Skoda board member for sales and marketing.

In Western Europe, Skoda grew by 4.2% to 35,400 vehicles in October (October 2015: 34,000). In Germany, its strongest individual European market, the brand grew by 3.9% to 13,300 vehicles (2015: 12,800 vehicles).
