Marcus Eisenhuth has started as Schaeffler president Industrial Europe, responsible for direct customer and sales in the region, which also includes India as well as the Middle East and Africa.

Eisenhuth has many years of sales and marketing experience as well as research and development. In his last position, he was managing director of Bartec Top Holding in Bad Mergentheim, prior to which he held management positions at industrial companies such as Honeywell, Eaton, Cooper and Oerlikon.

“We are very happy to welcome Marcus Eisenhuth as the new manager for our industrial business in the Europe region,” said Schaeffler Industrial CEO, Stefan Spindler.

“His international and cross-divisional experience will allow us to seize the opportunities this market has to offer.”

Schaeffler recently posted 2016 net income up 45% to EUR859m (US$909m) with revenue rising 3.4% at constant currency to EUR13.3bn.

The Automotive division acted as the main driver behind the company’s performance in 2016, reporting revenue growth of 6% at constant currency compared to the prior year, expanding faster than global production volumes for passenger cars and light commercial vehicles (+4.8%).
