Vehicle output in Russia rose 61.2% year on year to 438,570 units in January–May this year, according to ASM Holding, which monitors the country’s auto industry.
Car output rose 65.3% to 381,560 units with foreign-brand car output up 78% to 206,370 units and domestics growing 52.6% to 175,200 units.
Truck output increased 41.7% to 44,510 units, including 4,030 foreign brand units. Bus output rose 26.6% to 12,710.
Last year’s automobile output was off 59.7% to 722,102 units.
