PSA Peugeot-Citroen is expected to start testing vehicle assembly at its new Russian joint venture plant in Kaluga next month according to Ruslan Zalivatsky, the region’s economic development minister.
He told an auto conference the plant was on track to launch production in mid-April. Investment in the project is estimated at EUR300m (USS412.5m).
The plant is a joint venture with Mitsubishi Motors and capacity is projected at 125,000-150,000 vehicles per year.
