Alfa Romeo plans to start officially selling its cars in Russia in December, Mikhail Bakhtiarov, president of the automaker’s exclusive distributor there told a news conference on Tuesday.
The distributor, Major, has already obtained the right to sell and service Alfa Romeo cars in Russia, Prime-Tass noted.
Major plans to sell about 2,000 cars through initial dealerships in Moscow and St. Petersburg and is currently in talks over representation in another 17 cities, the report added.
The 147 and 159 will be launched first followed, in March, by the Brera and Spider.
