Mitsubishi Motors increased car sales in Russia by 67% year on year to 66,800 vehicles in January–November, the automaker said.

The share of crossovers and pickups in total sales more than doubled to 84% in this period.

In November, Mitsubishi said it planned to sell 75,000 vehicles in Russia in 2011 and to increase its share to 5% in 2012 from 4% this year.

Mitsubishi also said it expects the level of ‘localisation’ in vehicles built in Russia to reach 30% within the next three years.
