Russian President Dmitry Medvedev has said he hopes Russia’s largest truck manufacturer Kamaz will expand its business in Turkmenistan.

His remarks were reported by Prime-Tass while the Russian President was on an official visit to the central Asian republic.

“The Kamaz brand is known throughout the world and is also well known here, in Turkmenistan,” Medvedev said while attending the opening of a new Kamaz training and service center in the capital city of Ashgabad.

“I hope that following the contracts to supply 2,500 trucks, new and even larger contracts will appear,” he added.
