Wallenius Wilhelmsen Logistics has opened a new office in Moscow in addition to its current St Petersburg facility to support its growing business in Russia.

Moscow is the central vehicle logistics hub in Russia, including several rail and trucking companies, important partners that support Wallenius Wilhelmsen.

Søren Tousgaard Jensen, managing director for WWL Russia, said: “Automotive and rolling equipment importers as well as foreign companies building up local production have their main offices in Moscow, and we want to be close in order to support their logistics needs in the best possible way.”

The St Petersburg office will continue to be the WWL head office in Russia with its port, the primary location for import and export.

WWL has been operating in Russia since 2003, establishing its branch office in St Petersburg in 2009. That same year, the shipping line started serving St Petersburg with frequent services from Gothenburg and Bremerhaven via Kotka in Finland.
